An massive ancient Roman marble upper section of a trapezophoros, an ornate table leg, in the form of Roman deity, dating 1st.-3rd. century AD.

Fantastic sculptural leg in a trapezoid form with a beautiful large head of a wreathed god .

Dimensions: The leg is massive. It's ca. 26 cm. high and ca. 12 cm. wide (max). The leg weighs around 7,4 kilograms.

Condition: Choice as a fragment, nearly intact with a few chips and wear to the high points.

Provenance: Ex. Old Swedish Private Collection (I. Novak Collection), bought at Lindström Antik ca. 1955-60.
