A very fine and completely intact Gnathian-ware trefoil oinochoe, Magnia Graecia, c. 350 - 320 BC.

The neck and shoulder decorated with banding, a vine and tendril device below. Also known as a 'lip jug', this type of vessel was often used for serving wine or water and was refilled by dipping it into a larger krater or similar basin.

Height: 13 cm.

Condition: Choice and completely intact with a rather good full glaze for the type Ex. German Collection of H.S., bought between 1971-1998.
