An extremely fine and rare jade bowl in cream white nephrite, finely patinated / looks calcified. Ming to early Qing Dynasty, we will guarantee a dating pre 1800 to be on the safe side, but we think it's older. The bowl is of a simple fabric with no footring, glass-like polish and perfectly symethric.
Size: 96 mm. in diameter.
Provenance: From the estate of the widow of Tony Lee, who bought his collection of jade pieces at big London auctionhouses and dealers in the early 1950s. In 1959, the couple moved to Beijing, China, where Tony was stationed. We recently bought the jade pieces from the 90 years old Widow and everything is guaranteed ancient and as described and comes with our COA.
