Nice intact Egyptian amulet of a striding Thoeris (The hippotamus god), dating to the late period, c. 700-300 BC.

The amulet very attractive in a green faiance with nice details. Mounted to a plexi base, description card included in the pictures.

Size: 28 mm. high (36m. incl. the costum base)

Condition: Superb, unrestored with finely preserved glaze, thus rare.

Provenance: Private German Collection (ES), bought 1972 from the Collection of Prof. Haeberlin, from an older collection, and brought back from Egypt in the 19th. centur
