A rare and exquisite pottery cavalry soldier, dating to China, Ming Dynasty 14th.-15th. cent AD.
The warrior is in full armor, carrying a huge battle sword in his left hand. He wears a high helmet, finely detailed, and rides a white horse. Note the fine decorative lion-masks on his shoulders!
Exceptionally detailed and interesting figure of museum quality.
Very minor chip, but othervise fully intact and preserved as near mint.
