A strictly museum quality, large pottery figure of a female attendant, dating to the earlier Ming Dynasty, 1400-1500 AD.

The figure stands on a large Lotus throne on top of high hexagonal plint in fine two-colour green and yellow glazed robe. In her hand she is carrying a tray with the head of a pig.

She wears an adorned headdress. Finely painted facial details. Lotus Thrones are very rare on Ming pottery figures.

The head is attachable as often seen on the largest figures from this period.

Size: The figures measure c. 56 cm. - a very impressive and heavy conversation piece and one of the largest we've ever handled of the type!

Condition: Superb, finely preserved glaze and pigment, undamaged and no repairs.
