A rare and exquisite pottery cavalry soldier, dating to China, Ming Dynasty 14th.-16th. cent AD.
The warrior is in full armor, equiped with a a couple of hand-grenates, which the Chinese invented and used earlier than the European armies. He wears a high helmet, very detailed, and rides a white horse. Note the fine decorative lion-masks on his shoulders!
Exceptionally detailed and interesting figure of museum quality, comes as part of a group found together.
Size: ca. 31-32 cm. high and 25-26 cm. long.
