A beautiful Archaistic Jade carving pendant, likely late Qing or Republic period.
This animal has almost sculptural qualities and is carved in a terrific archaistic style. The pendant is modelled as an animal with it's head turned back and the tail visible at one side.
A simple but yet beautiful piece and made a splendid clean pale celadon jade (almost white with hint of green). Highly polished and very glossy as seen in the pictures.
Size: 55 mm. long and 42 mm. high - massive weighing 77 grams.
Ex. Harald Bonde, director of Great Nordic, bought in China ca. 1920-1930.
