An interesting ceramic bowl from Nishapur, dating c. 10th. cent. A.D. Ceramic bowl, Earthenware, engobe, underglaze slip-painted. The glaze is with a mulitude of small crackles - nearly complete! Interesting and very artful design with a flying bird and a piece of Kufic caligraphy below. black and red on a white background. Finely styled Kufic inscription. Size: c.200 x 60 mm. Condition: Superb! We could not find signs of restoration, the surface is complete with fine crackles! |
