A set of 5 Burmese bronaze cast "Elephant Weights," almost impossible to find the real thing these days. Beautifully rendered and originally used as weights for a scale to weight opium and other items in days long past! Wonderful patina! Circa: 19th C. Height of largest elephant is 1.5" (3.7 cm) and height of smallest is 15/16th of an inch (2.3 cm)

of pear form with long cylindrical neck and carefully painted in medium and darker strokes of underglaze cobalt of a powerful dragon striding through the clouds chasing the flaming pearl! The bottle also applied with a transparent soft glaze of blue cast. There is also a "kiln or artist's mark?" just behind the dragon's head. This is possibly from the royal Bunwon Kilns which stopped in 1883 when the royalty withdrew their support of these kilns...

The largest, diameter of 10 inches or 25.4 cms,of a set of three (3) JAPANESE Ceremonial LACQUER BOWLS, with an image of the God, "DAIKOKU-Sama," of the God that makes all things possible...with his magic hammer, in gold. There is two small spots on the rim which were attempted to be repaired and show a lighter color of lacquer than the overall color, and the face of the God is worn and a little fuzzy; otherwise, this bowl is in pretty good shape overall...

Chinese CLOISONNE Incense Burner, in the form of an IBIS with brass filigree tail feathers and semi-precious stones standing a full 21 inches in height on a tri-footed round base with a diameter of 9". Condition is good, but 4/18 pieces of turquoise are missing from the tail feathers. Each feather should have 3 pieces of turquoise and all have another semi-precious stone. Japanese DAIKOKU-sama kawara (smoked clay, wood burning kiln) ridge end ROOF TILE. Daikoku is the folk god who makes all things possible with his magic hammer and his sack over his shoulder (usually standing on two large rice bags) represents wealth. Two Seto-ware (ORIBE) earthenware Japanese TSUITEKI (Waterdroppers) of CATS. Two (one standing with the paw in the air and a bell around it's neck and another one sitting on all four paws, are dated 1740-1790 or Mid-Edo Era. Conditon is generally good. Some pitting, and some "kami-kizu," or "Kiln-errors." Dimensions of all are about 3" x 2". Circa: 18th Century. EDO era.

Chinese stonewear (tea) BOWL with black Cizhou glaze applied thickly over the finely potted cup with a slightly everted rim. Song Dynasty. There are some "losses" as expected with some scratching on both the inside and outside of the cup. No apparent chips cracks or restorations. Diameter is 4.75 inches (12.2 cms) and height is 2 7/8 of an inch or (7.4 cms.) Note: the "red" color in the photographs are a reflection!

This 1" thick carved cedar wood religious subject of a Buddhist "angel," playing a musical instrument was depicted as early as the 7th Century in Nara, painted on a wall in the Lady's quarters of the palace.
