Chinese celadon, STEM CUP, MING Dynasty with provenance. The long tapering stem with raised bands along its length with a wide bowl cup and a foliated flaring rim covered with a thick crackled dark olive green glaze. Height is 5 inches (12.7 cms) and width is 4.5 inches (11.5 cns.) There is an orange number applied inside the stem (see picture) "C 278" from the Arthur M. Sackler Collections. PAIR of Chinese TANG Dynasty SANCAI glazed pottery CUPS with provenance. One cup is glazed on the inside (sancai) and the other on the outside (green only.) There is some degradation on the inside cavetto of the sancai cup otherwise in good condition. No chips or cracks. Desaccensioned from the Ulricehamn Museum in Sweden, paart of the Tectus Collection and purchased at SOtheby's in Paris on Dec 18, 2008. Dimensions are 1 inch in height (2.54 cms) and 2 inches in width or 5 cms.

The largest, diameter of 10 inches or 25.4 cms,of a set of three (3) JAPANESE Ceremonial LACQUER BOWLS, with an image of the God, "DAIKOKU-Sama," of the God that makes all things possible...with his magic hammer, in gold. Chinese porcelain blue (cobalt) monochrome glazed "tear-drop" elongated VASE of ovoid form and a tall slender tapering neck covered in a thick blue glaze. Ming 17th Century. The vase is of a dark rich, natural cobalt blue color thinning to a mushroom colored rim. The condition is good, minor glaze scratches, however, the neck is slightly misshaped. A refreshing IMARI BOWL from Japan with two cracks which have been repaired which is somewhat visible. The central motif is a potted flowering bonsai plant, with three cartouches of a goose inside an enclosure with bamboo and other trees. One goose or perhaps a fat duck is upended downwards in the water. These same cartouches are repeated 3 times on the outside of this childlike bowl.
