Two piece Japanese porcelain, Blue & White Incense Burner or Censer, "Koro," with a boy drummer beating a drum on top with Buddhist symbols surrounding him; sitting on a tri-footed Elephant Base. Condition is good but there is a small kiln crack on the inside of one leg. Total height is 7 inches or 17.8 cms. Circa, 1900-1920.

19th Century copy of a Chinese JUN (or Chun) Ware JAR from the Northern Sung (Song) Dynasty. Beautiful variations of a "clair de Lune," type glaze ranging from a darker blue to an almost off white color.(see pictures) Some glaze cracks, and two cracks (longest is 1" in length) running from two rim chips. Well potted and glazed. Height is 4.5" and inside diameter of mouth is 3.5".

Japanese Blue & White porcelain BOWL with a monk (wise man) fishing from a rock into the sea under a tree. Whimsical decorations on the sides with an unknown kiln mark in underglaze blue on the back. TWO SEPARATE GRAY POTTERY, CHINESE HAN Dynasty Horse and Rider with a Oxford Thermoluminenscence Certificate tested in 2 places is consistent with the date (Western Jin Dynasty, 265-317 AD) purchased from Christies in Amsterdam, Holland. The rider is a "foreigner," with tunic and hat. This gray pottery piece has traces of pigment and slip. There is also a crack on one of the legs. Minor restorations. Very unusual to have BOTH horse AND rider together...

Very Shibui Japanese cast-iron body Tetsubin TEA KETTLE with a Bronze Lid and a Plum Blossom knob! The inside of the top is signed in four Kanji (characters) and says in part, "Kin-Se-Do." The handle is a wonderfully scalloped shape. Condition is fine. The dimensions are height 9 inches, 22.9 cms. and diameter is 7.5 inches or 19cms. Circa 1860-1890.

Japanese Arita porcelain BRUSH WASHER in a squat bee-hive form for the scholar's desk. The blue underglaze design depicts the ocean's edge with small houses and trees. It has a slightly raised circular foot and an everted rim. It has a 1 3/8" diameter at the rim, 3 3/8" = widest diameter, 2 3/4" at the foot and is 1 3/8" in height. 19th Century Japanese cedar and bamboo CANDLESTAND with sliding circular shoji paper screen, all with a "bengara" finish. There is a small sliding drawer (for wicks) in the base in front. Condition is fair, with some worn areas and some deterioration near the bottom and back. A fine Korean oversize porcelain BOWL from the Robert Moore Collection and sold at Christie's in NYC, Lot 137, pg. 94 on October 16, 1986. The heavily potted deep bowl on short ring foot, decorated in underglaze blue with two sprays of citrine, the well decorated with an auspicious character, "fuku" or "Good Luck" contained within a double ringed roundrel. Dimensions: 5 .5 " x 9 7/8 inches (14 x 25 cm) Condition on request, some restoration at rim from pre-1986. Circa: 18th /19th Century.
