Chinese pottery DING and Cover with a seven character inscription are from the "Collection of Monsieur Georges Halphen," which was auctioned at Christies in Paris, November 20, 2003, Lot # 454, page 33. A "Certificat pour un bien cultural" # 017925 or COA was issued by the French Minstry of Culture that allows this Ding to be legally shipped back to Europe without any VAT taxes. A rare Korean octagonal porcelain Blue & White BOTTLE (vase) decorated with an autumn flower. Yi Dynasty, 18th/19th Century. Condition: There are general overall glaze scratches and some rubbing on the ribs in addition to some small hairline glaze cracks about 3/4 of an inch (2 cm) in length both inside and outside the neck rim and there are some "glaze pulls" that occurred during the firing process near the base on 4 of the 8 sides. Two pages from an old Japanese Book,professionally joined and hinged in Japan, depicts a "Matsuri," of end of the summer party. Vibrant and alive with action, from the grandpa and bald grandma through the middle aged to the young, vibrant and babies embraced...this scene comes alive!
