A four panel oil painting of a Chinese motif of husband and wife and children, by an unknown Japanese artist. Beautiful soft colors and skillfully executed. Some damage to the upper far right panel, but the entire back was restored in Japan recently. Black lacquer frame with metal corner protectors. Dimensions overall are 58 x 29.25 inches, the panels themselves are 22 x 12.76 inches. Ready to hang on a wall or stand on a shelf or table. Circa: 1800-1840.

Chinese, TANG Dynasty pottery baluster shaped BOWL on a spreading pedestal foot with SANCAI glaze. Deaccensioned from the Ulrichehamn Museum in Sweden, #1141; from the Tectus Collection. Purchased from Sotheby's in Paris December 18, 2008. Overall condition is good but with three very small restorations to the inside rim and with some slight degradation overall as to be expected. Dimensions: 2.75 inches (7 cms) in height x 3.75 inches (9 cms.) in width.

Two Seto-ware (ORIBE) earthenware Japanese TSUITEKI (Waterdroppers) of CATS. Two (one standing with the paw in the air and a bell around it's neck and another one sitting on all four paws, are dated 1740-1790 or Mid-Edo Era. Conditon is generally good. Some pitting, and some "kami-kizu," or "Kiln-errors." Dimensions of all are about 3" x 2". Circa: 18th Century. EDO era.

A humorous depiction of the Japanese ZEN Buddhist priest who meditated in China in the mountains for 7 years, till he lost the use of his legs. Seal marked by artist (see enlargement #4) The ends of the scroll are ivory and there is the original kiri wood box. Condition, some slight wrinkles which are primarily in the border, with one in the moon behind Dharuma. The colors are vibrant. Circa, 1880-1890's. Dimensions of the scroll are 70.5" x 19" and the painting itself are 34" x 14".
