3 STONE and 1 metal SEAL from a Japanese Buddhist Temple called, "Kanzan-Ji," in Tokyo, Shimoya. Excellent condition. There is vermillion paste on the impression of each seal. Condition is excellent. The tallest seal of an almost translucent stone is 2.25" x .5" x .5" The next larger stone seal is 1.25" x 1.25" x .75" The smallest stone seal is double-sided and is .8" x .7" x .7" The metal seal is 1 3/8" x 1 1/8" x 1/16" Circa: 19th Century.

Chinese porcelain IMPERIAL YELLOW MING DISH with six character Zhengde underglaze blue mark in double circles and of the period. ( 1506-1521) The low rounded sides rising from a wedge shaped foot to an everted rim, applied overall with a translucent glaze of rich egg-yolk color leaving the slightly convex base in white. Diameter is 8 1/8 inches or 20.5 cm. Condition report available on request; no chips or fritting or restorations, some hairlines. Purchased in London at Sothebys.

Two pages from a book published in Japan in 1908 were skillfully joined and hinged in Tokyo,Japan. The print depicts a rather dark skinned Sumo wrestler tangled up with his opponent whose face is obscured. Off to the side is a Kabuki-like actor with a mask (an archer) who is prodding the wrestlers. Very animated. The artist's name is "Kimustu." Condition is good, no foxing. Dimensions are 10.25" x 7.5" Circa: 1908. Matting and framing are available for a gift.

One Complete set (5 bowls and lids ) of Japanese orange LACQUER BOWLS and LIDS. The covers are beautifully painted in gold with peony flowers and leaves with a single Shibui butterfly. There are some small chips on the edges of some of the bowls and lids, but the condition is very good overall. Suitable for use as a "miso soup" bowl or as a decorative accent. Circa 1900-1920. Height with lid is 3.5" and diameter is 4.5 inches.
