Chinese porcelain blue (cobalt) monochrome glazed "tear-drop" elongated VASE of ovoid form and a tall slender tapering neck covered in a thick blue glaze. Ming 17th Century. The vase is of a dark rich, natural cobalt blue color thinning to a mushroom colored rim. The condition is good, minor glaze scratches, however, the neck is slightly misshaped. The elongated body and neck covered with a glaze of sang-de-boeuf dripping with iridescent purple, thinning to a cream tone to the edges of the flaring rim.
