Chinese, TANG Dynasty pottery baluster shaped BOWL on a spreading pedestal foot with SANCAI glaze. Deaccensioned from the Ulrichehamn Museum in Sweden, #1141; from the Tectus Collection. Purchased from Sotheby's in Paris December 18, 2008. Overall condition is good but with three very small restorations to the inside rim and with some slight degradation overall as to be expected. Dimensions: 2.75 inches (7 cms) in height x 3.75 inches (9 cms.) in width.

PAIR of Chinese TANG Dynasty SANCAI glazed pottery CUPS with provenance. One cup is glazed on the inside (sancai) and the other on the outside (green only.) There is some degradation on the inside cavetto of the sancai cup otherwise in good condition. No chips or cracks. Desaccensioned from the Ulricehamn Museum in Sweden, paart of the Tectus Collection and purchased at SOtheby's in Paris on Dec 18, 2008. Dimensions are 1 inch in height (2.54 cms) and 2 inches in width or 5 cms.

Chinese pottery JUNYAO DISH Southern Song Dynasty, the interior all under a thick pale lavender glaze firing ivory around the rim and pooling evenly on the underside above a brown-washed biscuit footrim. There is a restored (gold lacquer) break to the rim area that is less than .5 inch of 1.25 cm in length. (see photo) There is also a very small (pin-head size) kiln flaw on the rim as well. Chinese Tang Dynasty pottery OIL LAMP (dish) with a brown glaze applied inside the cavetto and slightly over the outside rim. There are several small rim chips and several spots on the inside rim which have been restored. Deaccensioned from the Ulricehamn Museum in Sweden, #1143, from The Tectus Collection. Dimensions: diameter 5 inches (12.5 cms.) and height is 1.5 inches or 4.2 cms.

Chinese pottery "brown-ware" VASE well potted with thick brown glaze. This is 13-14th century, either Southern Song or Yuan dynasty. Condition is good, the glaze is a bit faded but only slightly considering its age. There is some glaze that ran down onto the foot rim when it was fired, (see photos) Height is 5 3/4 inches (14.3 cm) and width is 2 5/8 inches (6.3 cm)

19th Century copy of a Chinese JUN (or Chun) Ware JAR from the Northern Sung (Song) Dynasty. Beautiful variations of a "clair de Lune," type glaze ranging from a darker blue to an almost off white color.(see pictures) Some glaze cracks, and two cracks (longest is 1" in length) running from two rim chips. Well potted and glazed. Height is 4.5" and inside diameter of mouth is 3.5".

TWO SEPARATE GRAY POTTERY, CHINESE HAN Dynasty Horse and Rider with a Oxford Thermoluminenscence Certificate tested in 2 places is consistent with the date (Western Jin Dynasty, 265-317 AD) purchased from Christies in Amsterdam, Holland. The rider is a "foreigner," with tunic and hat. This gray pottery piece has traces of pigment and slip. There is also a crack on one of the legs. Minor restorations. Very unusual to have BOTH horse AND rider together...

Chinese pottery DING and Cover with a seven character inscription are from the "Collection of Monsieur Georges Halphen," which was auctioned at Christies in Paris, November 20, 2003, Lot # 454, page 33. A "Certificat pour un bien cultural" # 017925 or COA was issued by the French Minstry of Culture that allows this Ding to be legally shipped back to Europe without any VAT taxes. The DING is in exceptionally fine condition with no chips, cracks, pitting or losses. Circa: 206BC-220AD...

Chinese pottery "brown-ware" VASE with rich glaze applied over the body and neatly stopping about 1.25 inches(3 cm) above the foot rim. Condition is good, but there is a "kiln flaw" in which the everted rim was a bit misshaped! None the less in spite of the rim (see photos) and the glaze that ran down over the biscuit onto the foot rim; this a ceramic that is worth collecting! Circa: 12-13th century, Southern Song or Jin Dynasties. Height is 6 3/8 inches (15.7 cm) width is 3 1/8 inches (7.8 cm)
