Japanese RED (with black lacquer "butterfly" legs) LACQUER TRAYS,19TH Century; a complete set of five (5) with distinctive shaped corners and legs. Condition is excellent, structurally sound and the lacquer is in good shape overall, with the exception of slight loss of lacquer on the bottom, due to age. Dimensions are 12.5 x 12.5 x 3 inches in height. Circa: 1800-1868.

Japanese Blue& White DRAGON PLATE with slightly scalloped edges, in excellent condition except for one 2.5" hairline crack which is only visible from the back (see photo #4) Very striking design and effect with the real colbalt blue, not the German blue dyes which were widely used after 1870. Circa: late Edo era, 1840-1868. Diameter is 11.25 inches or 28.5 cms. Height is almost 2" or 5 cms.

Japanese porcelain CHAIRE (green tea container) with a stag horn lid and silk bag and kiriwood box with two Kangi (letters). This beautiful undamaged Chaire is finely potted with a swirl on the unglazed base (picture #5) and a very subtle brownish colored glaze applied as highlights over a black background overall. Height is 2 15/16 inches (7.5 cms.) Late Edo era, 1890's.

Three small Japanese SEALS, carved from stone. These seals came from a Buddhist Temple called "Kanzan-Ji" in Tokyo, Shimoya. The heights are 1.25" and 1 inch and 1/2." There is vermillion sealpaste over the impressions of the seals. Condition is excellent. Circa: 19th Century.
