Japanese HIRADO porcelain, Blue & White "Bud Vase" in an elongated baluster shaped form, with 3 Palowania leaves in relief and underglaze blue floral designs. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines or fritting. Dimensions: diameter at waist is 3.75 inches and height is 2.25 inches. Circa: 1875-1895.

Japanese ORIBE Oil Lamp & matching lid with impressed floral design on the shoulder,indented handle (to hang on a wall) & horse eye design inside the rounded base of the lamp. The color of the Oribe glaze changes from a soft moss green at the top to an almost turquoise and all green colors in between as it drips down to the base. Circa 1900-1912. Height is 4.75 inches or 12 cms and the diameter is 4.5 inches or 11.5 cm. Condition is excellent.

Unique Japanese celadon earthenware OKIMONO, of a Mother and her baby "KAPPA," or "water-spirits," modeled in a tender and loving embrace! Comes with the original kiriwood box with inscribed lid. Japanese Blue& White DRAGON PLATE with slightly scalloped edges, in excellent condition except for one 2.5" hairline crack which is only visible from the back (see photo #4) Very striking design and effect with the real colbalt blue, not the German blue dyes which were widely used after 1870. Circa: late Edo era, 1840-1868. Diameter is 11.25 inches or 28.5 cms. Height is almost 2" or 5 cms.

Japanese hand carved wooden SCULPTURE of a large RABBIT sitting on it's haunches. Well modeled wiht a beautiful light slightly "shellacked," patina! Left ear was broken and has been repaired, but the crack is hardly noticeable. Condition is good. Circa: Taisho. Japanese "Claire de lune" glazed earthenware JAR from Mashiko. A very attractive color, well potted. There are two "blisters" where the glaze "bubbled up," but they are hardly noticeable. Otherwise the condition is good with only a very small chip of less than 1/16th of an inch on the inside rim. Circa, Taisho era. Height is 10 inches (25.5 cms.)

A refreshing IMARI BOWL from Japan with two cracks which have been repaired which is somewhat visible. The central motif is a potted flowering bonsai plant, with three cartouches of a goose inside an enclosure with bamboo and other trees. One goose or perhaps a fat duck is upended downwards in the water. These same cartouches are repeated 3 times on the outside of this childlike bowl. Beautiful wave design in underglaze blue inside/out framing the ducks. circa 1910-1920...
