A pair of Japanese KUTANI porcelain BOWLS in "square form" (straight sides and rounded corners) with chrysanthemum and paulownia design. The green color at the top of the bowls, both inside and out is a type of "stipple," or 3 dimensional! Orange 3 letter Kanji mark on the bottoms. Circa 1900-1920. Condition is excellent, no chips, cracks, breaks or restorations. Dimensions are 5 inches in diameter and a 4.25 inch height.

Often executed in Chinese Dehau blanc de blanc (see "Blanc de Chine" by Donnelly, Plate 108C) The color in all the pictures is not as white as the actual porcelain. Well potted, with no chips, cracks or frits. Excellent condition. There is an unknown studio kiln mark on the bottom (see pix #6) in the same coral color. Height is 4 inches, (or 10.1 cms) with a diameter of 3.5 inches (9 cms.) at the shoulder. Circa: late Taisho, perhaps early Showa.
