American Indian, Taos pueblo beautifully executed hand painted Kokopeli seed pot. Kokopeli playing his magical flute in the corn fields framed between geometric designs in black on white. Artist's name is somewhat illegible but is a well-known artist in Taos pueblo. written Taos, 1994 on base. Condition is excellent, 4.75" x 5.25" in diameter.

American Indian Santa Clara pueblo, a large deep strongly carved black on black pottery jar, with the dragon's spirit emanating from it's mouth in the form of an arrow. The black color is achieved by firing the pot in horse manure with little oxygen. Many pots are broken during this firing process. Signed Adam Tafoya, Santa Clara on base. Height 10 3/8" x 8 3/8 inches diameter. Excellent condition.
