American Indian ACOMA polychrome olla is a work of art. As is traditional in Acoma art the jar was formed in native clay with ground pottery shard temper, has a rag-wiped white slip and a natural (no slip) interior with a red (orange) slipped underbody with a concave base. The jar is in very good condition. No apparent signs of restorations. 6.75" x 8.5" diameter. circa 1840's.

Impressive BRASS BOWL from the Indonesian Island of Java, with a broad pedestal foot. Finely engraved with a scrolling foliate on the shoulder between an egg & dart borders; with 6 alternating cartouches of plum trees and Buddhist symbols. Condition is good except for a 1.3 inch crack at the rim (see pix #2) Circa, 1930's. Dimensions: Diameter @ top = 6.75 inches, diameter at base is 6.25 inches and the height is 5 inches.

Chinese painting (acrylics on silk) of a "Golden Chrysanthemum and Bird" seal marked by the artist. The painting is matted with white patterned silk and framed with a rust-red painted "faux bamboo," frame with "glare-resistant," glass. The condition of the painting is excellent, but there are 5-6 spots where the paint has started to peel from the frame. Circa: 1960's.
