Old Japanese Seto Pottery Low Bowl
12" x 2.5" "Ishi-zara" meaning stoneware in Japanese, with a pinkish-buff beige glaze. Probably from a Seto area kiln, used originally for serving food. The small marks inside are from stones or beans used to seperate stacked pottery being fired in kilns. There are two veru small chips in the underside of the rim (see photo) Unusual to find outside of Japan.
