Chinese pottery JUNYAO DISH Southern Song Dynasty, the interior all under a thick pale lavender glaze firing ivory around the rim and pooling evenly on the underside above a brown-washed biscuit footrim. There is a restored (gold lacquer) break to the rim area that is less than .5 inch of 1.25 cm in length. (see photo) There is also a very small (pin-head size) kiln flaw on the rim as well. Circa: Southern Song Dynasty. Diameter is 5 3/8 inches or 13.4 cm. Provenance: Bought in London; the previous owner owned this fine collector's ceramic since 1982 and it is from the Lord Cunliffe Collection, (paper label on base) No. PC 40.
