Chinese Porcelain Standing Buddha, 2 impressed marks
$900 - with 4 character potter's mark and double gourd mark Dehua.

Chinese, Blanc de Chine, Buddha, well modeled standing on a circular lotus petal base with his left arm held at the waist holding the pearl of wisdom and the right arm lowered at his side in "bhumisparsamudra" with a serene expression, below tightly curled hair around the "usnisa," and long pendulous ear-lobes, wearing long voluminous robes tied at the waist, elaborate jewelry with Buddhist cross at the chest and bracelets on the wrists and upper arm, impressed with square 4 character seal mark and double gourd mark "Dehua." Notice the slender fingernails of right hand! (see photo enlargement #6 for details of two impressed seal marks) Height = 16.75" Circa: late 19th/early 20th century.
