| KOREAN (Joseon Dynasty) iron-glazed facetted (11 sided) porcelain JAR with upright, extended walls divided into eleven facets above the inset, circular foot and below the slanted shoulders with a wavy line, and applied with an iron glaze pooling yellowish green, the mouth and foot rims unglazed. This was used for honey or other food-stuffs. (Ame-yu) Purchased @ Christie's in New York City, March 17, 2009, Lot # 158. Provenance: The Phillip Collection, Washington D.C. Height is 6.25 inches (15.9 cms) and width is 6 5/8 inches or 17 cms. Condition report available upon request. | ||
