Fluted Shigaraki-Bizen Mizusashi by Richard Ballinger

The mizusashi is stylishly done in a fluted manner with ash glaze and effects from the kiln. The mizusashi would be perfect for a temae known as habuta which was developed by the 11th head of the Urasenke tradition, Gengensai (refer to July 2013 Nagomi Magazine).

The mizusashi was created by a noted American potter, Richard Ballinger in Northern California during the 1980-1990 period.
