This magnificent painting is an antique copy of Raphael's Madonna del Granduca, originally painted in 1505 in Florence, Italy. Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, better known as Raphael was an Italian painter of the high Renaissance era whose work is admired for its clarity of form and ease of composition as well as the visual achievement of the Neoplatonic ideal of human grandeur.
This exclusive copy dates back to 1880 with a contemporary, all carved and hand painted frame. The frame is also a work of art depicting a golden cherub on the center top surrounded with a royal blue color with floral design finishing with ten countries emblems on the top and lower part of the frame. Two fine Roman corinthian columns embellish the two sides of this stunning Roman style gold finish frame.
While the painting is in pristine condition, the frame has some minor chips and blemishes, including two approx. one inch part son the lower sides.

The frame measures 19 x 28 inches or 48 x 71 cm.
