This is a fine toned Art Nouveau Vienna Secession sterling silver cigarette case with floral design in a classic form and softly rounded corners. This magnificent floral design is duplicated on the reverse as well.
The Vienna Secession was formed in 1897 by a group of Austrian artists who had resigned from the Association of Austrian Artists, housed in the Vienna Künstlerhaus. This movement included painters, sculptors, and architects.
The cover of the box closes tight and the interior straps are present and in good shape.
This magnificent piece is fine sterling silver, in great condition with a superb craftsmanship.
