C. 1860 Gutta Percha Picture Frame American A product made during the American Civil War A gutta percha picture frame which includes a photo of a seated woman and the original convex glass. Gutta percha is the product of a tree on the Indian continent. The sap of the tree was used to create design and jewelry products during the 19th Century and early 20th Century. It is very dark brown in color....almost black. This frame has lovely detail and is in pristine original condition...
