18th Century Embroidery European A wonderfully executed and amazingly preserved silk embroidery work from the mid- 18th Century A bouquet of flowers with butterflies in a subtle color framework. Gold leaf frame measures 20 inches high x 18 inches wide. The silk embroidery measures 17 inches high x 15 inches wide. Unsigned. Only wear is slight, to the corners of the fabric. Otherwise, in excellent original condition.

Antique Celluloid Frame Purse Circa. 1900 American. Embroidered flowers on ivory background with beige celluloid frame. Hand carved. Attached is original mirror and change purse, matching the beige moire lining of the bag. Silvering of the mirror is somewhat worn. Otherwise, all is in excellent original condition. The purse measures 7 1/2 inches wide, 5 1/2 inches high and 3/4 inch deep, when closed. A rare and wonderful item. For the knowledgeable collector.
