Pair of Victorian Brass "good luck" shoes
Circa. 1880 British During Victorian times in England, it was a custom to give these brass miniature shoes as a token of "good luck" to the bride and groom. Married couples had a pair of these shoes on their mantle. Used to hold matches. Each shoe measures 4 3/4 inches wide, 2 3/4 inches high and 1 inch deep. Each is 159 grams in weight.
