| Antique Diamond Necklace Circa. 1840 European This rare and magnificent diamond necklace can either be credited to the late Georgian era or the early Victorian era. As the stones are open-backed, the Victorian categorization is more accepted. However, the Georgian influence is evident. The necklace measures 15 inches long, which reflects the smaller size of the average woman during the 19th Century. The necklace consists of 79 graduated diamonds, all tested with a diamond tester. The largest stone measures 1.25 carats, the smallest is .13 carat in weight. Original clasp and safety chain. The center diamond has a drop-down loop from which a pendant can be attached. The color is J, the clarity is VVS1 - VVS2. The quality of the diamonds is excellent. 15K gold detail on back with silver top. A magnificent necklace! 13.4 dwt 20.8 gr. | ||||||||||
