| A pair of 17th century portraits of James II and Charles II. Henry Stone, known as Old Stone was born in London in 1616. His father, Nicholas Stone was a mason to James I. His brother James was an architect sculptor & painter. He spent several years in France & Italy. He is best known for his portraits of royalty & his copies of Van Dyck & Italian masters.
