Large Bronze UTHONG Buddha, 18/19th Century. Size: height 80 cm x width at base 58 cm. Knee to knee 52 cm.

Spectacular and extremely rare Giant size antique Buddha Figure dressed in royal robes, lacquer intricately inlaid with inset flat glass/mirror mosaics backed with colored foil and further decorated with moulded relief work forming beautiful spirals. The Buddha seated in "bhumisparshamudra" (subduing Mara), his left hand rests palm upward, on his lap, and the right hand rests on his right knee, calling the Earth to witness...

A fine original, 18th Century Venetian Oil Painting, framed depicting the Birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, Maria, Joseph and the 3 Magi bearing gifts. Rare piece, artist unknown. Size:40 x 30 cm. Condition: good considering age.
