An important and rare KANGXI Period Blue & White KLAPMUTS Porcelain Bowl potted with deep rounded sides rising to an everted rim. The exterior depicts a delightful landscape scene with children and maidens possibly at the "Yuan Xiao" Lantern Festival. The interior of the bowl has a scene with a playful boy throwing a good luck fire cracker in the center and is decorated with a Lingzhi flared border design. The foot of the bowl is also flared and has a double circle. 6 character calligraphy Kangxi (1662-1722) marks on base with double circles, of the period. Excellent condition, no chips, no imperfections and no restorations whatsoever. Size: H. 3 1/8" x 6.5" diameter (7.9 cm x 16.5 cm.). Weight: 268 grammes. Further photographs available upon request.
