A fine and rare MEIJI Period (1886-1912) Japanese 2-piece gold lacquered Cabinet with multiple drawers and fashioned with nice gilt bronze fittings. It rests on a table-like base with beautifully curved legs. The cabinet is beautifully worked in low relief gold lacquer depicting rabbits, hills as well as decorative, finely painted flowers. Condition: good with inconsequential minor surface wear due to age and use. Genuine Meiji Period, Japan. Size: H. 48" x W. 27.5" x D. 19"
