An elegant Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Baluster Vase depicting Lotus Petal Panels and hanging Grape Vines. Salvaged from the Vung Tao shipwreck (1690).
Condition overall good, glaze somewhat flat resulting from sea water exposure, with marking on base; no repairs, hairlines, chips or cracks. The symbol on the base "Babo" represents Jewel or "Pearl" or the sacred disc in the Pa Kua in motion, heavenly protection; also called the sacred Lotus flower, which generally represents the sitting Buddha which sybolizes creative power and purity towards adversity.
