| Here we offer a very handsome example of a 'gigante' head, used in, and during, certain festivals and parades in Guatemala, often as the head of a 'giant' comprised of two men under a large cloak or cape. We're not sure if this head was actually used as such, though it seems it may have been. Purchased in Guatemala over 20 years ago, this is one of the last of two dozen in the collection to be let go. This piece measures just under one foot tall. | ||
