Jalisco Seated Figure

A fine San Sebastian style male, 12-3/4" tall, from Jalisco, ca. 200 BC - 300 AD. He is seated on the traditional two-legged stool, posed with the right hand held to his mouth (eating?). The left hand rests on his thigh. He is adorned with multiple ear ornaments and serrated hair braids. Nicely burnished red slip with manganese deposits. The legs are reattached.
