A beautiful Teotihuacan jar from Mexico, ca. 300 – 400 AD. This fine Late Tlamimilolpa vessel is 4-1/4” high, 4-1/4” in diameter and is decorated by alternating highly burnished areas with unburnished and incised sections. A rare type, in nearly perfect condition, with good mineral deposits. See Berrin “Teotihuacan”, page 239, for similar examples from various museum collections. |
