| An excellent Nayarit polychrome figure from West Mexico, ca. 200 BC – 350 AD. This choice Ixtlan del Rio drummer is 4-3/4” high and is depicted standing behind a large drum, with his toes tucked under the rim of the instrument. He is adorned with a pointed hat, necklace, ear ornaments and bracelets. Paint is used to create extensive clothing and facial tattoos. In excellent condition, with calcification and mineral deposits. | ||
