| A lovely Moche I bottle from Peru, ca. 50 BC – 100 AD. This finely made vessel is 6-1/2” high and is decorated with four connected designs typically identified as stylized stingrays. They are painted in chestnut red over cream kaolin slip, with extensive mineral deposits overall. An early example in excellent condition, with just the minor surface loss typical of vessels with this slip. | ||
