| A superb Salinar canchero from Peru, ca. 200 BC - 100 AD. It is 9" long and has a 6-1/4" diameter. The body of the vessel is decorated with finely incised pyramid patterns, which are highlighted with brown pigment over the orange slip. An absolutely adorable coatimundi adorno looks over the rim, he is fully formed and highly detailed. The vessel is lightly burnished and has an unusual, lightly stippled texture. In exceptional condition, showing good deposits and root marks. | ||
