Mayan Chiefs & Glyphs Bowl - Rare Type

A superb Mayan Chiefs bowl from El Salvador, ca. - 600 - 800 AD. It has a 7-3/4" diameter, is 3-1/4" deep and features three panels with distinctly different figures, each painted in elaborate detail. They are depicted with the extended finger gesture, which commands attention: "I am speaking!". They are separated by three panels bearing nicely detailed glyphs. The interior of the bowl features a series of glyphs arrayed around a central solar motif. In excellent condition, with good deposits and root marks.
