| An exceptional Mayan Frog Effigy Bowl from the Copan area of Honduras, ca. 600 AD. The bowl has a 6-1/4" diameter, with the head, tail and legs attached as appliqués. Elaborately painted in red, orange and black over a cream base, with four detailed nobles seated in the offering position and a lower register of nice head glyphs. The additional mat design decor further denotes the importance of its owner. One reattached rim shard. | ||
