A superb Chimu fish effigy from Peru, ca. 1100 - 1450 AD. This highly burnished blackware example is 8-1/4" high, 6-1/4" in diameter and depicts a puffer fish with anthropomorphic facial features. Great example in excellent condition, nice mineral deposits.
