Important Japanese Museum quality Meiji Period (1868-1912) shibayama inlaid fantastically hand-carved wood lidded Tobacco Box with a tobacco pipe case and a pipe, signed by Shuosai . It is decorated with monkeys with inlaid eyes and peach tree branches. The inlays are made with amber, ivory, and turquoise.
