Magnificent Japanese Meiji Period Porcelain Vase with a high relief decorations of leafage, flowers and a bird , signed by Makuzu Kozan. The details are very fine. Two birds are painted; a king-fisher is raised. The leaves, stews and flower blossoms are all raised and have natural look and colors. The upper and lower parts of the vase have symbolic stripe lines and ornaments. 14" tall x 8" D.

The center of the Jar depicts 12 Japanese year zodiac signs in mons - signs of a dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, boar, rat, bull, tiger and a rabbit.
