This is a very beautiful Japanese Tokyo School Bronze and Ivory Okimono of a lady with a shimuzen, on a wooden base. Woman's feet , a head and hands are finely carved from ivory. The Okimono is mounted in and removable from the base. There is a signature of the artist on the obi of the kimono of the woman. This rare Okimono has no losses , damages, or repairs. Bronze part of the Okimono has an original brown patina with no losses.
It dates 19th century, Meiji, Japan, and measures 12" tall x 6 3/4" wide x 5.5. deep.
The lady is 10.5" tall.
