This is a fine Japanese 19 Century tripod Satsuma Incense Burner of an unusual beautiful shape with a beautiful design, with a pierced lid and two handles in a shape of beasts.
The Koro is decorated with multiple Tokugawa family mons on the cover and the Kogo's body; there are two big scrolls with a seated man and a woman over interior of the houses and two smaller scrolls , one with a river, houses and mountains, and another one with floral decorations.
The background of the Kogo is finely decorated with symbolic floral decorations, partly raised.
It is signed by an artist.
