Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) diamond-shaped Satsuma Vase made and signed by Ryokuzan.
The Vase is in excellent condition with absolutely no wear over magnificent finely painted and gilded four decorative panels- two big and two smaller. Big panels have detailed scenes of people and samurai, landscape, trees and houses; smaller panels have attributes of Japanese life and vases with Ikebana, and a mill, water and a landscape with mountains and trees.
The top of the vase has four symbolic decorative shields and fine gilding.
