Big Japanese Studio Stoneware Vase by Tozan Yohei
Japanese Meiji Period(1868-1912) big Studio Stoneware Satsuma style Vase made and signed by Tozan Yohei IX. It has uneven pastel green background with asymmetrical lines and ornaments. It is decorated with five panels. One panel depicts a seated man and a landscape, the second panel has a bird and tree branches, the third panel shows a water fall, the fourth has four symbolic circles with decorations, and the fifth panel, which is is a fan-shaped, depicts obi-like symbolic decorations. 12 1/2" tall x 7 1/2" D.
