| A Gorgeous Antique Plique a Jour Enameled Brooch, Art Nouveau European Silver. This beautiful brooch is made of 800 European Silver, with a hallmark, and translucent French Plique a Jour enamel upon filigree openwork. The effect of plique a jour is that of stained glass and was very popular in jewelry around the Turn of the Last Century, Art Nouveau period. The brooch measures about 1 1/4 inches by about 1 inch and has an early safety style clasp that is in great working condition. The piece is from an estate collection and is in lovely vintage condition. | |||||||
